Inside, the driver was welcomed by a similar ambient as the rest of the Vibe's range, albeit the binocular-style dials featured red lettering and needles. In addition, the door-mirror caps were no longer black, and at the front, the bumper received a more aggressive styling with an apron on the lower side flanked by two round foglights. In the GT trim level, the Vibe featured body-colored bumpers and side protections. It just tried to offer something different and more useful for its customers. With the GT version, Pontiac aimed at the hot-hatch segment. But the Matrix/Vibe GT was a daring task, and both manufacturers understood that failure could be supported better if shared, and that was exactly what happened with the duo and was one of the reasons why the Pontiac brand was axed as a brand. This kind of cross-brand badge engineering process was unusual for competing companies and more often seen between brands within the same family. Toyota and General Motors joined forces and developed the Matrix for the Japanese automaker and Vibe GT for Pontiac. These guys are serious about quality and the customer.Pontiac introduced the Vibe GT in 2003 as a mix of more vehicles, creating one of the best crossovers on the market, but it was too daring for those times. This is my daughter’s first car, so safety is everything. An honest dealership with honest employees? I bought the car on the spot and will return tomorrow to pick up the car. They would need to order the parts and would have the veh ready the next day. It turned out they needed to replace the shocks and bearings. Another 10 minutes later they returned and told me they went back to their shop and raised the car to locate the issue. Came back after 10 minutes and one of them switched and sat in the back seat. He got their mechanics and 2 of them went for a drive. When I returned, I told Art about the noise and warning light on. We did and found some mild noise coming from the passenger side wheels. Let us go on a test drive and said “take your time”. Car was just as advertised, and salesperson Art was completely no-stress and straight forward. Was skeptical, because it’s not a mainstream brand dealership. This isn't a Firebird, but it will do.Īttracted to this dealer by their inventory and prices. I'm planning on repainting the Vibe, but I will continue with the Maroon color. Somebody has put tinting on the back window over the rear defroster, so I'm not bothering it. I have no idea what year model the Vibe is yet. I'm hoping to find an owners manual on e-bay. The AC and the heater works well in the Vibe also. My sister said they have driven the Vibe to Arkansas many times and it still performs well. I have the check written out and ready to purchase my first Pontiac. The Pontiac handled the rough I 20 very well. It does use more fuel than my Honda Accord though. I drove it to Fort Worth a week ago and I'm happy with its performance. The Poniac Vibe has plenty of get up and go. I have to park my 2002 Honda Accord from now on. I need something reliable to drive from Longview TX to Fort Worth TX many times. So I am buying my relatives Pontiac Vibe. Now my transmission in the Honda refuses to work on the highway. I drove my relatives Pontic Vibe while my 2002 Honda Accords transmission was being worked on.
