![]() ![]() ![]() Julie is proudly a second-generation Hmong American, with her family migrating from Laos during and after the Vietnam War in 1975. All her creative inklings have lead her to where she is today with Grace. Although healthcare had been the focus the last 5 years, Julie has been creative by dabbling in photography, teaching herself how to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and making her own stationery. She graduated from Dakota State University with a degree in Health Information Administration and previously worked with Native American Lifelines as their Health Information Specialist. Julie has attended Grace since October of 2021 and has been serving as the Design and Media Specialist since August of 2022! Just mention: Anything! She is game to discuss about any topic with the exception of movies, but can go toe to toe on veggies tales with anybody. Her favorite color of all time is purple! In her limited free time, she enjoys reading and listening to music – often at the same time. She enjoys downhill skiing, snowmobiling and has even recently taken up scuba diving. She has just celebrated 30 years of marriage with her husband, Bill, and has 2 grown kids – David and Rachel. She has had the privilege of serving in the Children’s ministry as an AV tech, as well as in the main auditorium working with the computer team, and most recently with the broadcast team behind the scenes.Īlthough Karen was formally trained as an engineer, God continued her education over the years in new ways as she raised her own children and was given opportunities to serve in ways that she never would have expected. Karen and her family have been at Grace about 8 years after moving back to this area from Central Washington. Just mention: Enneagram, the news, and his favorite Christian artists (Vertical Worship and Meredith Andrews). Though, his favorite outdoor activity is getting a campfire going on a cool evening surrounded by good food and company. He also enjoys playing tennis and badminton with friends. In his free time, Patrick likes to play Scrabble, jam on his guitar, and play the piano. Patrick landed some jobs as a newsgathering producer for a few news organizations, allowing him some once-in-a-lifetime access and opportunities while covering local and national news, before leaving the news industry altogether in 2015. ![]() He attended the University of Maryland in College Park, and graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in religion. His interest in tech started when he was part of his high school’s televised announcements and while serving on the tech team in his youth group, where he got saved. Prior to joining Grace, he served as a volunteer and on staff as the Assistant Technical Director at his last church. Patrick has been on staff at Grace since January 2019, and oversees the video broadcast and live-streaming of the church’s gatherings and events. ![]()
