Zion River Resort – This RV resort is located just 13 miles from the south entrance to Zion National Park. There’s also a petting zoo, complete with alpacas. This RV park is family friendly, as is evidenced by the gold mine where kids can pan for gold. Yosemite Pines RV park is only 22 miles down the road, and provides great pull-through and back-in sites. For a campsite with more amenities, your best bet is to set up camp outside the actual park. Yosemite Pines RV Park – You can camp inside Yosemite National Park, but the campgrounds are slightly primitive, with no hookups available. Your pet will think he’s in doggy heaven with the 45-acre dog park and the self-serve automatic dog washing station. This park allows you to relax by the pool, enjoy the clubhouses or sit around the outdoor fireplaces. Each site offers Powerhouse Pedestals, which provide electricity, cable television and high-speed Wi-Fi. It’s a high-end destination that supports 174 camping sites on the Sacramento River. There are 250 sites in the camp, so hopefully you buy into the adage of “the more, the merrier!”ĭurango RV Resort – This park is located in Red Bluff, California. Additional amenities include bathrooms, a marina and free wireless Internet. You can also enjoy the pool and the beach area. Here are a few examples of great RV parks where you may just want to stay for a while:īoyd’s Key West Campground – Located on the furthest of the Florida Keys, this RV park offers oceanfront campsites that are just a few miles from the action of downtown Key West and Duvall Street, which are easily accessible by taxi or city bus. Some of the “higher end” campgrounds provide a more resort-like feel by offering pools, restaurants, free Wi-Fi and business centers. The more rustic campgrounds don’t offer much more than a parking spot, while others offer water, sewer, electrical hookups and cable TV. Some of them cater to a tight budget, keeping costs as low as possible, while others are a little more generous with the amenities and comfort factors. They can be found in state and national parks, in or near major tourist attractions and on private property. RV campgrounds are abundant across this country of ours.
